"This is the first song that I ever wrote in Spanish. I can't remember when I wrote it; I think it was in '04. Around that time the gospel choir I sang with in Philly (Joy Unlimited) was singing a beautiful song called 'Instrument of Praise.' I love that concept of God's making us into His instrument of praise. So I took that theme and ran with it in a slightly different direction, and in Spanish. And since my Spanish wasn't that great at the time, I asked my good friend, Juan Jose, to help me fine tune the wording. I didn't realize it at the time, but after the song was done, I noticed it was also similar to parts of the prayer of Saint Francis." -Tedd- |
